I am a physiotherapist with over 30 years of experience and I am able to offer services in the fields of Physiotherapy, Acupuncture and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.
I have worked in rural practice most of my working life but I have a deep interest in treating chronic conditions.
I am currently working for Kaipara Physiotherapy in the clinic in Maungaturoto, Paparoa, and Dargaville in Northland.
I use a combination of “hands on” manual therapy, deep tissue massage and exercise therapy to treat a wide range of conditions.
These include acute day to day or sports injuries to the more serious post-operative and serious injury rehabilitation.
Acupuncture
In the late ‘90s, I did a post graduate course through Physiotherapy Acupuncture Association of New Zealand (PAANZ) to learn Physiotherapy Acupuncture. (Physiotherapy Acupuncture Association, www.paanz.org.nz )
I use this therapy extensively with a holistic and energetic approach. I combine traditional concepts with Western medical treatment.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy.
In 2015 I completed a two year diploma course with Body Intelligence to qualify as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist.
This is a very gentle, subtle, non-manipulative therapy. It is suitable to help treat and support a wide range of conditions by facilitating the clients’ body to balance its own systems and to heal themselves. This treatment is also very effective with young babies and children, and is safe for pregnant women.
Both Acupuncture and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy integrate well with Physiotherapy to provide a very holistic comprehensive therapy.
